STEVE INSKEEP, host:

We have an update this morning on the Iraqi journalist who threw his shoes at President Bush. A judge says the Iraqi shows signs of being beaten; that's according to the Associated Press. The man had bruises on his face and around his eyes. Muntader al-Zaidi is expected to face charges and has already asked Iraq's prime minister for a pardon.
