San Diego Physician Pens Medical Thriller
GUEST:Kelly Parsons, M.D., MHS, associate professor of surgery, UC San Diego School of Medicine, author of "Doing Harm"
You'd think being a practicing doctor and a teacher would take up too much of your time to write a well-received first novel. But apparently San Diego doctor Kelly Parsons somehow found the time. His novel is a medical thriller that's been praised by author Steven King and optioned for a motion picture.
"Doing Harm" is about a killer on the loose at Boston's University Hospital. It tells the reader that there are many ways to die in a hospital but being sick is just one of them.
