First Person: Encinitas Mom Goes Zero Waste
In an effort to get her body as healthy as possible before starting a family, Encinitas resident Michelle Andrews said she started to pay closer attention to what was in her food, where it came from and how it was packaged.
Eventually, that expanded to reducing the overall amount of waste she was creating. She was pretty far along in her waste-reducing efforts when she learned about and embraced the zero-waste trend.
She is now a stay at home mom to 5-year-old Tilden and 1-year-old Merritt.
As part of our First Person series, Andrews shares some of what she and her family do to maintain a low-waste lifestyle.
