Will Rodriguez-Kennedy, chair of the San Diego County Democratic Party, says the party is focused on getting a Democratic majority on the San Diego County Board of Supervisors in 2020.

Mail ballots for the March primary will be going out as soon as next week and the San Diego County Democratic Party is looking to pick up a few key seats.

"If we take District 3 of the County Board of Supervisors, we will for the first time ever be a Democratic county on that body. It is the highest priority of the San Diego County Democratic Party to actually take that seat back. That's why we're going to hit the ground running when it comes to the general election," said party chair Will Rodriguez-Kennedy.

Other key races for county Democrats include the city of San Diego's mayoral race, San Diego city council races and Carlsbad's District 1 race.
