My neighbor and good friend John's wife is a commander in the U.S. Navy. He takes her long deployments in stride, but still has the same issues anyone has when his spouse is away: he misses her terribly, but I know he holds a lot of that inside.
Thinking about my neighbor led me to a couple of particularly poignant blogs from husbands who've dealt with their wives' deployments.
