Are Southern California's Marine Wives America's Next Reality TV Stars?

For the past month or so, notices have been sent out to various blogs run by the wives of Marines at Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center at Twentynine Palms from a Palm Springs public relations executive and film producer named Jayel Aheram of Polimedia Films, who is asking that the wives audition for a reality TV show called 'Marine Wives of 29 Palms." The notice reads:

Kurt Schauppner of The Desert Trail reports that about 30 Marine wives responded and will be meeting with the producer tomorrow, Nov. 20. Aheram, a former Marine, told Schauppner that 'Marine Wives of 29 Palms" would show the real lives, struggles and joys of the families at the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center. Aheram explained that he was inspired to create the show while watching a commercial for 'Army Wives,' a program he thinks presents an unrealistic view of the lives of military spouses.

Capt. Nick Mannweiler, public affairs officer at MCAGCC Twentynine Palms, tells me the Marine Corps is not endorsing this project and that the show will not be allowed to shoot on the base or at any base housing. So far, Polimedia has not announced a start date, air date or network for this series. The Polimedia website had this to say about producer Aheram:
