Baghdad City Council Wants U.S. to Pay Up and Apologize

The Baghdad city council is pretty unhappy with the United States. According to the Associated Press, Baghdad city officials want a big fat apology from the United States, and (said with a pinky touching the mouth, a la Dr. Evil) ONE BILLION DOLLARS! The Baghdad city council released a statement expressing city officials' displeasure at the condition their city was left in after the Americans entered the Iraqi capital as part of the effort to remove Saddam Hussein from power.

Although it's often said that you can't fight city hall, I think the person who said that probably didn't have Baghdad city hall in mind. I'm guessing there isn't going to be a rush to put the $1 billion requested by Iraq in the federal budget.
