American Idol's Paul McDonald Apologizes for Wearing Military Jacket

I first took note of the kerfuffle over Paul McDonald's choice of wardrobe on American Idol last night through Twitter. Several of the military spouses I follow on Twitter expressed disappointment that McDonald wore a military jacket as part of a costume, even though he had never served in the military.

The Huntsville Times reports that McDonald has since apologized to anyone he might have offended with his choice of clothing. McDonald told his Twitter followers:
