Just months after the official repeal of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell," a group of servicemembers has created a new magazine for gays and lesbians in the military. The first issue of the magazine, called "Outserve" is available only online, but the publishers hope subsequent issues will be in print and available on military bases, according to ABC News.
Although the group who launched the magazine started as an underground organization before the DADT repeal, several members are now speaking to the media about Outserve. The editor of the magazine is an active-duty member of the Air Force named J. Mills. He told ABC News:
Other members of Outserve talked with Honolulu television station KITV. Click here to watch a special report by the station.
