The Department of Defense has released the names of the five soldiers killed in Iraq on Monday in the single deadliest attack on U.S. servicemembers in that country since 2009. One of the soldiers killed was 24-year-old Spc. Christopher B. Fishbeck of Buena Park, California.

Fishbeck described himself this way on his MySpace page:

According to the DoD, Fishbeck and his fellow soldiers were assigned to the 1st Infantry Division at Fort Riley, Kansas. Killed along side Fishbeck were Spc. Emilio J. Campo Jr., 20, of Madelia, Minnesota; Spc. Michael B. Cook Jr., 27, of Middletown, Ohio; Spc. Robert P. Hartwick, 20, of Rockbridge, Ohio; and Pfc. Michael C. Olivieri, 26, Chicago, Illinois.

The Kansas City Star reports the five men were each in the Army less than two years, and were on their first deployment.
