Gas Prices Got You Down? It's the Same with the Military (Video)

Skyrocketing energy prices are taking a huge chunk out of the Pentagon's budget, and Department of Defense officials announced today their plans to do something about it. Deputy Defense Secretary William J. Lynn III told reporters that money spent on energy is money not spent on more important defense priorities.

According to the DoD, energy costs are a big drain on taxpayer dollars:

Lynn said to reporters the best way to show the world our military strength is to improve our energy technology.
