The Obama administration has ordered troop levels to drop to 3000 in Iraq by the end of the year, according to Fox News. The cable channel, citing anonymous sources, reports commanders on the ground in Iraq are not happy with the news. Fox quoted one of the anonymous sources as saying:

In 2008, President George W. Bush signed the Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA), which called for all U.S. forces to leave Iraq by December 31, 2011. According to the Business Insider, the Iraqi government has since asked our troops to stay longer.
The Associated Press reported that as of today, at least 4,474 members of the U.S. armed forces have died in Iraq since March 2003.
