Do you know an amazing military spouse? The folks at Military Spouse magazine want to know about him or her. The call for nominations for "Military Spouse of the Year" started last week, and lasts until December 7th.
Bianca Strzalkowski was named Military Spouse of the Year for 2011. According to Strzalkowski's Facebook page, her family is stationed at MCAS Miramar. Military Spouse magazine explained all that Strzalkowski did to earn her designation as spouse of the year:
Basically, you can nominate anyone who is married to a member of the active-duty military. Military Spouse magazine looks for qualities like "impact on community change, volunteerism, personal sacrifice, education" when considering the winner.
