Staff Sgt. Anthony Glenn II of the Marine Corps Recruit Depot in San Diego got a chance to show off his price guessing skills on a recent episode of the popular game show "The Price Is Right." Glenn was in the show's audience - along with 21 other drill instructors from Company G, 2nd Battalion - when he was called to "Come on down!"
Defense Video and Distribution System News reports "The Price is Right" show coordinators interviewed all the drill instructors before the show, looking for a potential contestant who would bring some energy to the program. Glenn explained to DVIDS News:
Glenn made the grade. He then immediately made it on stage with host Drew Carey by correctly bidding on a diamond bracelet. Glenn didn't win the guessing game he had to play on stage. But he spun that giant wheel just right to make it to the Showcase Showdown.
Glenn won the Showdown, and walked away with a Kia Soul, a free trip to London, and something all drill instructors need - a sterling silver tea set.
