A bomb threat prompted the evacuation of a building at Walter Reed Medical Center today. Bomb-sniffing dogs were brought through the building under threat, which was later reopened.
Walter Reed is the largest military medical center in the country.
An anonymous military official told the Associated Press:
[S]omeone phoned in a threat minutes before 9 a.m. EDT Wednesday, saying a bomb would detonate about an hour later in the center's America building, which contains a group of clinics.
