President Barack Obama is scheduled to meet with Marines and their families at Camp Pendleton today at 12:50 PDT. Home Post will be streaming live video from the president's visit.
Laguna Beach resident and U.S. Marine Corps Ret. Col. Charles Quilter told the Orange County Register he was looking forward to Obama's visit:
"It's time for the commander-in-chief to welcome home the troops ordered overseas and say 'Thank you.' For the commander-in-chief to recognize this service is a great honor."
According to the OC Register, President Obama is the sixth U.S. president to visit Camp Pendleton. The other commanders-in-chief who made the trip were Franklin Roosevelt, Lyndon Johnson, Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, and George W. Bush.
