The Navy Broadway Complex in downtown San Diego was placed on lockdown Friday afternoon due to a report of an armed man, authorities said.

The original report to authorities that prompted the lockdown was of an armed man sitting on the tailgate of a vehicle, San Diego police said. The report was of a man with a rifle, police said.

There are no reports of arrests.
