An F-15C fighter jet crashed Wednesday morning in western Virginia. The jet was assigned to an Air National Guard base in Massachusetts. The condition of the pilot is not known at this time.

Marine Cpl. Jonathan Corwin, the widower of homicide victim Erin Corwin, is speaking to the media for the first time since his wife went missing on June 28. Corwin's body was discovered Aug. 16 in a 140-foot deep mine shaft in the Mojave Desert. Marine vet Christopher Lee was arrested and charged with Erin Corwin's murder.

The military is investigating the death of Army Sgt. Christopher W. Mulalley, 26, of Eureka, California. Mulalley died Aug. 22 in Gardez, Afghanistan in what the Department of Defense is calling "a non-combat related incident."
