Changing Code May Upgrade Credit Card Security

A company called Innovative Card Technologies is proposing an electronic display on credit cards that would show a changing security code. The consumer would have to have the card in their possession to know the code at the time of purchase.

Its backers say the system would make it virtually impossible for thieves to make a purchase using only the credit card account number. Robert Siegel talks with David Utter, staff writer for Web Pro News.
