At the White House on Monday, President Obama announced the details of a sweeping, rigorous plan to restructure General Motors and Chrysler. This follows Sunday's ouster of GM CEO Rick Wagoner by the White House.
The administration is giving the automakers no more than two months to fix their problems. Even then, the White House says, it may force the companies through a quick bankruptcy.
