Apparently the various accusations back and forth over the last year about war, terrorism, torture, global warming, the economy and what not just don't measure up. Even the image of Rudy Giuliani in drag can't compare to the offensive depiction of Obama in a tribal robe. &
Too bad that the current political climate doesn't allow for a positive spin, a la, look, the senator actually took some time to learn about local culture while visiting Africa. The people shouldn't be reminded that the senator's ancestry doesn't involve coming here on the Mayflower. &
There are important issues out there, but they aren't going to get discussed while this kind of campaigning dominates the media. Maybe that's what the candidates want, but it's not what the United States deserves. &
