S.D. Council Has Much To Do Before Year Wraps Up
The year is winding down for the San Diego City Council. And the council has a lot to do before leaving City Hall.

Like a lot of people, councilmembers have a lot of work to plow through before they leave for vacation. The last council meetings of the year will be held today and tomorrow.

Among the issues being discussed are pension reform, the city’s five-year financial outlook, expanding the Convention Center, the future of redevelopment districts and the city’s response to the September blackout. Once those meetings are done the Council will be on legislative recess until January 9th.

And next year is likely to be just as busy. In 2012 the council will deal with issues ranging from city elections, to shifting district boundaries to various multi-million dollar development projects.
