Gov. Jerry Brown Thursday announced the appointment of San Diego County Sheriff Bill Gore to the Board of State and Community Corrections.
The board is an independent statutory agency that provides leadership to the adult and juvenile criminal justice systems and expertise on public safety issues. It's also a data and information clearinghouse that offers technical assistance on a wide range of community corrections issues.
