A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled today at the site of a transitional housing facility for teenagers who have aged out of the county foster system.
Muncey Manor at 1194 Trenton Ave. will provide living quarters for 11 people. It's named after Fran Muncey, an area businesswoman and longtime benefactor for foster youth.
The center, a project of South Bay Community Services, will provide residents with housing, case management, independent living skills classes, job readiness support, and additional services.
Teens who turn 18 leave the county foster system and can struggle on their own without transitional services.
