  • Olivewood Gardens & Learning Center proudly marks its 15th anniversary with the 2025 Seedling Soirée, an unforgettable evening of seasonal cuisine, community connection, and garden-grown inspiration. Set in Olivewood’s vibrant spring garden, this signature fundraising event on May 31st will take place from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and will celebrate a decade and a half of transformative work in nutrition education, environmental stewardship, and health equity—while raising vital support to further grow that impact. Olivewood invites guests to indulge in a farm-to-table 'forage & feast' experience curated by esteemed chefs, Olivewood Kitchenistas and Garden 2 Kitchen Interns, brewers, distillers, vintners, and cocktail makers from across San Diego County. Featured culinary talents include Chef/Foundation Cultivator Christina Ng of Berry Good Food, Doug Settle & Abby King of Hearth and Harvest, Chef Joe Bower and Steve Dion of Finca, Chef Logan Mitchell of The Cellar Door, Chef Phillip Esteban of White Rice and Wildflour Delicatessen, Kevin Templeton of barleymash, Chef Andy Weiss of The Smoking Gun, Sushi Chef Wilmer Braulio, Chefs Charlie Knowles and Manny Da Luz of bica, Chef Reyna Venegas of Rancho La Puerta, Chef Aureny Aranda of Au Gourmet, Cindy Quiñonez of Parada del Mar, and Chef Sandra Orozco of Cultura con Sabor offering our seated dessert option. Complementing the gastronomic delights will be libations from Bivouac Ciderworks, Rejon Tequila, Boochcraft, Hasta Mañana Cantina, Belching Beaver, LJ Crafted Wines, and other select wineries. Proceeds from the Seedling Soirée will bolster Olivewood Gardens' mission-driven programs to nourish communities and cultivate a deep connection to the environment through nutrition education, sustainable urban agriculture, collective advocacy and intergenerational leadership. “As we celebrate 15 years of empowering our community through food, education, and environmental stewardship, the Seedling Soirée is more than a celebration—it’s a recommitment to the work ahead,” said Jen Nation, Executive Director of Olivewood Gardens & Learning Center. “This evening honors everyone who has planted seeds of change with us and invites our community to keep growing with us.” Join us as we celebrate 15 years of growth, impact and community!
