  • Join Traveling Stories and the San Diego community for the 2nd annual Walk for Literacy event. This family-friendly and pet-friendly event will take place in Chollas Lake Park (6350 College Grove Dr, San Diego, CA 92115) on Saturday, Oct. 7 beginning at 9:30 a.m. Attendees are encouraged to dress up as their favorite literary or story characters and embark on a magical stroll around the lake to celebrate the power of stories and raise awareness for local resources. This event hosted by Traveling Stories, a San Diego nonprofit that helps children build confidence and strong reading skills by the 4th grade. This event is FREE for all children under the age of 12.
