  • Gelson’s invites the San Diego community to take part in Gelson’s annual toy drive in collaboration with Promise2Kids, benefiting disadvantaged children across the region. From December 4th to 17th, customers can participate by donating new, unwrapped toys at any of Gelson’s three San Diego locations - Carlsbad, Del Mar, and Pacific Beach. Each location will have red bins readily available in-store for hassle-free dropoff. For children up to age 5, consider items like rattles, interactive crib toys, soft baby dolls, building blocks, and educational books. Ages 6 to 13 appreciate toys, Play-Doh, crafts, superhero action figures, and coloring books. Ages 13 to 18 prefer board games, makeup, sports swag, and tech items. Gifts suitable for all ages include socks, gift cards, movies, books, and clothing. Avoid toys with small pellets, breakable materials, or promoting aggression.
