During Shark Summer, proceeds collected in the donation box in the aquarium’s Galleria benefit the Association of Zoos and Aquariums SAFE Sharks and Rays program, a collaborative effort by more than 60 organizations nationwide to work together to save the more than 1200 species of sharks and rays worldwide from extinction through evidence-based education and communication. In this 2-hour workshop, you will learn to create beautiful crochet flowers and leaves using simple crochet stitches. These versatile flowers can be used for bouquets, holiday gift wraps, making wreaths, etc. Requirement: Recommended age is 9+years. Students must be able to hold a crochet hook & crochet basic stitches. This workshop is not for an absolute beginner who has never done crochet. A hot glue gun will be used in this class.
