Toy drive will support the 3,000 current and former foster youth in San Diego County Promises2Kids, a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a brighter future for the 3,000 current and former foster youth in San Diego County, is collecting new unwrapped gifts and gift cards to distribute to San Diego’s foster children this holiday season. The Give From Your Heart Holiday Gift Drive is presented by Carmel Mountain Preschool, and invites the community to join together to support foster children this holiday season. On December 12, Carmel Mountain Preschool will hold a drive from 9 to 11 A.M. and the community is invited to drop off a gift and take a photo with the Grinch, Cindy Lou Who and Santa. Gifts can also be purchased online at Amazon and shipped to Promises2Kids (9400 Ruffin Court, Suite A, San Diego, CA 92123), or can be dropped off at Promises2Kids or at bin locations now through December 14. “We are so grateful to see how the community has come together to support foster children during the holidays year after year.” said Tonya Torosian, CEO of Promises2Kids. “Carmel Mountain Preschool has been a long-time supporter of Promises2Kids, and with the community’s support, we are able to make the holidays a little brighter for foster children.” Promises2Kids annually provides over 3,000 current and former foster youth in San Diego County with the tools, opportunities, and guidance they need to address the circumstances that brought them into foster care, overcome the difficulties of their past, and grow into healthy and successful adults.
