Famed Chicano performance troupe Culture Clash, featuring Richard Montoya, Ric Salinas and Herbert Siguenza, proudly returns to San Diego for one special performance celebrating the group’s 40th Anniversary. “Culture Clash’s 40th Anniversary Desmadre” is an all-new show in honor of 40 years of comedy that will serve up an explosive cocktail of humor and satirical outrage. Ukulele virtuoso and ambassador of aloha, Jake Shimabukuro, will bring his signature celebration of the holiday season to San Diego! Jake Shimabukuro’s unparalleled talent on the ukulele has captivated audiences around the globe. Each has found ways to survive in arid environments where most life forms are unable to thrive. This tour focuses on the clever adaptations and beauty of many fascinating cacti and succulents in the recently revitalized Kate O. Sessions Cactus Garden. Forever Balboa Park offers thematic park tours that focus on the park’s unique biodiversity and highlight the park’s horticultural wonders on the second Saturday of each month. Led by park volunteer and horticultural enthusiast Bill Edwards, the free tours leave from the Visitors Center at 10:00 a.m. unless otherwise indicated. Walks last 1.5 to 2 hours and are typically less than 1 mile on level terrain. It is advised that potential attendees contact the Balboa Park Visitors Center prior to the scheduled walk to determine if there are any last-minute changes or cancellations to the tours.
