  • This is not a hip new zombified take on Louisa May Alcott's beloved story — it's actually Moxie's concurrent production of two full, intact plays, performed "in rep." This means the shows will run on the same stage with the same cast. The plays are "Little Women The Broadway Musical" (by Allan Knee, Jason Howland and Mindi Dickstein) and Alexis Scheer's 2021 high school thriller, "Our Dear Dead Drug Lord." It doesn't sound like a natural combination, and that's kind of the point. Cast members Nio Russell, Mikaela Macias, Becca Myers Lena Ceja (all women) are tackling the four main characters in each show. And perhaps the big stars are the stage crew who'll swap out the sets each night. Parental & Trigger Warning Little Women is a family friendly show, bring your little ones! However, Our Dear Dead Drug Lord is completely inappropriate for young audiences, due to language, violence, and triggering content. These two widely different shows will be running at the same time, on the same stage, and share the same cast. However the sets, costumes, vibes, and stories are completely different! Each week, performances of the two shows will alternate by day of the week, or time of day. The set will be “flipped” between the two shows by our talented (and fast!) backstage crew. And on Saturdays and Sundays, the actors will only have a couple of hours after the afternoon show, to rest and get ready for a completely different evening show.
