Kahoots Presents the 19th Annual Cardiff Dog Days of Summer, hosted by Cardiff 101 Main Street and the City of Encinitas, on Sunday, July 21 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This fur-tastic, FREE event features a variety of dog-related vendors, rescue groups, pet adoption agencies, an exciting agility course, a lure course, and rescue demonstrations. Cardiff Dog Days of Summer also features an array of dog contests, live music, food trucks, a libation lounge, and pawsome opportunity drawings! Looking for a furry friend? Presented by Rancho Coastal Humane Society, "Rescue Row" hosts several rescue groups with adoptable pups. The City of Encinitas’ "Pet Health Expo" will offer essential pet services including microchipping, and more, thanks to the San Diego Humane Society. And if your pup loves their moment in the spotlight, enter one of the 8 dog contests - plus an additional Dog Ice Cream eating contest - for a chance to take home a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place prize! Categories include Cutest Puppy, Best Dressed, and Silver Face. First-place winners will receive a gift basket filled with dog food, toys, and treats. Register on the day of the event at 9 a.m. with a $10 entry fee per contest. The first 70 dogs to enter will receive a special Kahoots swag bag! Sasha specializes in elder financial abuse, investigation and prosecution of elder fraud cases in federal court. This event will touch on explanations of elder financial abuse and various methods used by criminals (mail, computer, phone, TV/radio, in person) and will give an overview of the types of financial fraud schemes currently trending in Southern California (e.g. grandparent scams, romance scams, investment scams).
