  • Premieres Monday, Jan. 15, 2024 at 11 p.m. on KPBS TV / PBS App. A Ghanaian MIT alum follows four African students at his alma mater as they strive to become agents of change for their home countries Nigeria, Rwanda, Tanzania, and Zimbabwe. Over an intimate, nearly decade-long journey, all must decide how much of America to absorb, how much of Africa to hold on to, and how to reconcile teenage ideals with the truths they discover about the world and themselves.

The celebration will also feature family-friendly activities where teens and parents can Drop a Wish, writing down a wish on a 2x2 ceramic tile, yell their worries away in the Roar Room, play Subsoccer and participate in a special raffle. The only Filipino American punk and hardcore fest in the nation celebrates their 8th annual event with its first appearance in San Diego.
