  • Our Afternoon Art Classes invite students to explore a wide variety of mediums—including drawing, watercolor, collage, and painting—while also learning about contemporary artists and diverse cultures from around the world. Guided by Teaching Artist Ms. Aiza, students will not only build artistic skills but also strengthen Social Emotional Learning (SEL) through creative expression, collaboration, and self-reflection. Each session includes both skill-building lessons and fun one-off projects designed to spark imagination, confidence, and connection. Parents are welcome to drop off their child for class or stay in the room during the class while students create. Feel free to choose what works best for you!   • Created in 2011, Euphoria Brass Band is an award winning, critically acclaimed seven piece San Diego based musical powerhouse. Euphoria offers an exciting mix of New Orleans infused brass band jazz, funky street beats and new school edginess with a West Coast vibe! A SoCal favorite playing many high profile music venues, festivals, parades, corporate events and weddings, Euphoria performs internationally as well. They have played several festivals in Mexico and recently performed in Japan at the 30th Annual 2022 Yokohama Jazz Promenade Festival. With a new project in the works and four recordings to date, Euphoria Brass Band has received 11 San Diego Music Award nominations since 2011.   • For the second consecutive year, San Diego State University is proud to host the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer (MSABC) Walk. The walk will be held on Sunday, Oct. 19 at SDSU Mission Valley’s river park and Snapdragon Stadium. Last October, thousands of participants, including survivors, thrivers, caregivers, families and supporters, came together as part of the annual walk.
