  • The La Mesa Village Association's (LMVA) 10th Annual Holiday in the Village event brings the holiday cheer with enhanced holiday traditions that are fully immersed in La Mesa’s charm offering FREE, winter holiday-themed activities during the one-day event for the community to enjoy. The annual Holiday in the Village takes place in the heart of downtown La Mesa along La Mesa Blvd. between 4th Street to Spring Street on Saturday, December 13 from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. Guests of all ages can take to the “ice” for skating on a synthetic rink. The “Winter Wonderland” kids area is filled with inflatable bouncies. Families can cozy up at the “Mrs. Claus Reading Nook” to listen to holiday themed stories. Putt your way through a Miniature Golf Course full of holiday cheer. Snap a selfie at the holiday-themed photo op stop. And, go on a scavenger hunt along the “Elf Adventure Trail” where guests can seek out elves “hiding” throughout our local businesses and can enter to win one of the elves! Treasured favorites returning to the Holiday in the Village event include “Selfies with Santa”, strolling carolers, holiday performances by local schools, clubs and more, fun-themed holiday stilt walkers, and “Elf Yourself Hats” where guests can outfit themselves in whimsical elf hats. Whether you love Pokémon, sports cards, Magic: The Gathering, or Yu-Gi-Oh!, this event brings every type of collector together. With free entry, live trading, and a free card pack with each beer or food purchase, it’s the perfect mix of collecting and community.
