  • For 29 years Rady Children's Hospital-SD Ice Rink has been providing seasonal outdoor family fun for San Diego. It started with a vision to bring an outdoor ice rink to San Diego and raise money for kids with cancer. In partnership with Rady Children's Health San Diego Auxiliary, ARTS DISTRICT Liberty Station and San Diego Ice Arena we are able to provide this event each year. We had over 30,000 skaters in 2024 and have raised over 2 million dollars for the Thriving After Cancer Program at Rady Children's Hospital San Diego Rady Children's Ice Rink on Facebook / Instagram
  • "Best in Show" is an expansive collective exhibition featuring over 100 works made by Revision creatives over the course of 2025. Work includes unique pieces of painting, sculpture, textiles, paper craft, and more! A visual poetry performance featuring saxophonist Alan Cohen will accompany the exhibition. Join us for Without Words: Moving through the Holidays, guided by The Elizabeth Hospice Grief Counselor Maggie Miller on Saturday, Dec 6 from 1–2:30 p.m., at Expressive Arts @ 32nd & Thorn in North Park. During this compassionate gathering, we will honor grief and loss during the holiday season, and experience how creativity and gentle movement can be tools for healing. This workshop is free of charge, open to everyone, and can be taken on its own or as part of the full Without Words series on the first Saturday of every month.   • The nonprofit Photographer’s Eye Collective in Escondido will host an auction of fine art photographs donated by artists from around the country for its annual fundraiser. On-line bidding opens on Nov. 24 at 4 p.m., and a live auction featuring a gala reception will take place on Dec. 6 at 5 p.m., at The Photographer's Eye Gallery. Bidding will close on Dec. 6 at 7 p.m. Twenty-seven images are up for auction, and they can be seen on The Photographer’s Eye website. Information on each work and artist is viewable by clicking on the thumbnail for each image. Artists who have donated works for the fundraiser include Pulitzer Prize winner Don Bartletti; New Mexico artists Susan Ressler and Karen Hymer; San Diego underwater photographers Marie Tartar and Steve Eilenberg, and many more whose works have appeared at the gallery. Also donating works are artists Amy Caterina, Jacqueline Ramirez, Jodie Hulden, Judith Preston, Louise Russell, Melinda Finn, Suda House, Diana Bloomfield, Mitch Eckert, Dave Marsh, Brandy J Sebastian, Marek Matusz, Will Gibson, Lisa Brussell, Sandra Klein, Jacqueline Ramirez, Tom Vancisin, Jerry Takigawa, Robin North, Robert Younger, Grant Brittain, and The Photographer’s Eye director, Donna Cosentino. The gala reception will feature wines from Escondido’s Orfila Winery and appetizers by Red Tail Catering. There is no charge to attend the event. Free parking is available in front of and behind the gallery. Proceeds from the auction will help support the nonprofit gallery’s mission to foster the education and appreciation of photography.   • Join us for an evening with renowned artist Nick Cave, whose multidisciplinary practice spans sculpture, installation, performance, and video. Best known for his celebrated Soundsuits, elaborate full-body sculptures that merge art, fashion, and social commentary, Cave creates work that speaks to issues of identity, race, and healing. His work "Rescue," from the Museum’s permanent collection, is currently on view in the Art of the Americas galleries, offering audiences a chance to experience his practice firsthand. The program will begin with a talk by the artist reflecting on his body of work, followed by a conversation-style interview and an audience Q&A.
