At the end of the brewer’s day, we will use their fresh, spent grain and work it into a beautiful artisan bread. Guests will make the Grainbakers Spent Grain Artisan Bread Dough. Once created, you can customize your bread by adding various flavors from our spice selection.* This class will have many selections, including: - UBE Purple Sweet Potato - Cinnamon Raisin - Rosemary & Sea Salt - Dark Chocolate & Cherry - Tomato Basil - Cheddar, Jalapeño & Bacon - Honey, I love you, Whole Wheat - BYO Inclusions - We don't mind at all! (Frozen fruit, Frozen fancy cheese etc.) Class includes: Lecture and hands-on instruction to make artisan spent grain baked bread Recipe and instruction guide. Super fun mixing session to make your dough One bread in it's first rise, ready to bake at home Extra spent grain for your freezer and recipes to make more bread VIP / FAQ: You will bake your bread at home. Participants must be 18 to participate and must have a ticket. Please wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes. You are WELCOME to invite a friend to wait for you while you’re in class. You can have dinner together before class, and then they can doomscroll some social media over a pint while in class. Body Rock Dance Competition, the Iconic International Dance Event, is celebrating its 25th year of production. Beginning in the year 2000, BODY ROCK has grown to a huge platform for aspiring dancers in the Global Dance Community. With its humble beginnings on a gym floor in San Diego, our passion for dance and hip hop came from the spread of dance teams up and down California. We presented one of the first dance competitions to showcase street dance crews and professional choreography teams and the rest was history! With the creation of Youtube in the mid 2000’s, our show went viral and transformed the accessibility of dance crew videos and changed how dancers were viewed in the mainstream media. We continue to influence the atmosphere of local dance creating outlets for youth, maintaining a safe and inclusive staff, and promoting authentic community relationships. We not only helped to move our dance community forward, but created a path for the next generation of dancers. Our legacy includes groups and choreographers such as the Jabbawockeez, Keone & Mari Madrid, Kyle Hanagami, The Kinjaz and Tessandra Chavez. Some crews like Korea’s “Just Jerk” have also become Viral on Youtube and TikTok with over millions of views. Annually, our show draws a crowd of +2000 people and our participants now include groups from Mexico, Germany, New Zealand, China, Australia, Korea, Russia, the Philippines and Japan! We have also expanded and have qualifier shows in Asia and Latin America. This exhibition will explore art that has emerged from the surf-culture lifestyle and surfing’s influence on artists. Everyone who has experienced the feeling of riding a wave understands just how hard it is to describe that incredible sensation, referred to as “stoke”. It seems that only through creative self-expression can surfer-artists capture the essence of stoke and the inspiration that can be found between the surfer and the wave. Artists who surf may take this creative energy in many directions and may explore subjects outside of surfing and surf culture. This joint exhibition will feature a variety of media, from traditional art making methods to works in resin, murals, surfboards, graphic art, sculpture, or fabric, all with the goal to convey the creative power that all artists experience, on or off the wave.
