The Revolution in the Orchard April 26 and 27, 2025, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Celebrate the 250th anniversary of the battles of Lexington and Concord with us. These battles marked the beginning of the American War of Independence. guests experienced a taste of the founding of our great nation. Volunteer historians and reenactors from all over the United States gathered at this event to share living history with guests. This family-friendly event featured dozens of historical interpreters who represented the soldiers and civilians of the American Revolution and demonstrated all aspects of daily and military life. The City of Carlsbad is bringing back the past at the Hot Rods & Cool Treats carnival and classic car show. Grab the family and come on out for some good old-fashioned fun. It’s an old-fashioned carnival at Pine Avenue Park with activities for the young and young at heart. Test your game skills in Can-Knock-Down, Ring Toss, Frog Hopper, and more. Enjoy crafts, face painting, and a Fun Zone. Build your own sundae at the ice cream bar and vote on your favorite car in the classic car show. Enjoy live music covering decades of sounds. Carnival tickets, food, and drinks are available for purchase at the event. How to enter your car: Cars are eligible to win in only one category. Entries will be limited to automobiles 25 years old or older, no buses or semi-trailer rigs. All participants will receive an event collectors dash plate. From San Diego FC: SDFC fans can celebrate the launch of SDFC’s inaugural home jersey from Dec. 13-15. The weekend kicks off on Friday, Dec. 13, with fans getting the first chance to purchase the jersey at Eighteen Threads, San Diego FC’s official retail shop at Mission Valley Mall – before it’s available anywhere else in-store. The festivities culminate on Sunday, Dec. 15 at the home of SDFC, Snapdragon Stadium, with the Chrome Ball Cup, featuring 5v5 tournaments for men’s, women’s, and youth teams, with cash prizes for the winning teams in each division. Fans in attendance will also have the opportunity to purchase their inaugural home jersey on-site at the Chrome Ball Cup.
