Best known for his celebrated Soundsuits, elaborate full-body sculptures that merge art, fashion, and social commentary, Cave creates work that speaks to issues of identity, race, and healing. His work "Rescue," from the Museum’s permanent collection, is currently on view in the Art of the Americas galleries, offering audiences a chance to experience his practice firsthand. The program will begin with a talk by the artist reflecting on his body of work, followed by a conversation-style interview and an audience Q&A. Join us for a hands-on morning of printmaking, reflection, and creative exploration inspired by the exhibition "Eduardo Chillida: Convergence." Explore Chillida’s powerful use of line, shape, and form through guided prompts and conversation before creating your own linocut print. Drawing on personal memories, you’ll consider how abstract forms can hold meaning and emotion. Then, carve, ink, and press your design, transforming reflection into visual expression. Art Scene West is proud to announce our latest exhibition, "Modern Media." This exhibition features 2D artworks made with contemporary mediums, unconventional techniques, and emerging trends. Over 20 artists from San Diego and beyond will have their artwork carefully curated inside the Art Scene Gallery from November 11 to January 4, 2026. Linda Davis is the digital fellowship project coordinator at KPBS. She oversees all aspects of the projects being completed by KPBS journalists for the fellowship. Her previous experience includes roles as a creative project manager and multimedia producer, and as a TV segment creator, producer and on-air presenter. Linda is originally from Chicago and holds a Bachelor of Arts in education and communication from Arizona State University.
