Both draw inspiration from the natural world, rearranging familiar forms in startlingly original ways.   • Featuring indie folk rock music on cello, guitar and cajon by composer Jenn Hartman Luck, this retelling of the classic Russian folk tales around “Hansel and Gretel” focuses on the women and girls of the fairy tales. Gretel processes the grief at the death of her mother and the rejection of her stepfamily while on the hero’s journey, facing knights and witches, spells and curses, and through it all the question–how will she survive?   • Join us for Studio Arts, when OMA transforms into an artist’s studio, offering skill-building workshops led by distinguished professor and arts educator Robin Douglas. “Printmaking on Hand-Made Paper" Create a variety of “papers” using multiple natural materials. The second step will be to print on the newly created paper, wet or dry, to create dream like images with atmospheric qualities. A possible poem or saying may enhance the finished product.
