Come to this hands-on lesson and art activity where we’ll explore the effects of plastics on our environment--both on a local and global scale--and discuss what we can all do to help mitigate plastic pollution. This exhibition serves as the capstone project for MiraCosta College’s Museum Studies program. Students in the program have developed, researched, curated, publicized, and installed this exhibition as part of their coursework in Art 271, Museum and Gallery Exhibition. These innovative student curators collaborated to create a cohesive show. This exhibition provides a unique opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in museum and gallery operations, as well as in curatorial practices. The result is an impressive display that highlights their skills and creativity in curation.
