  • North City is back with their free outdoor concert series North City LIVE, where live music, great food, and warm summer nights come together on September 6 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Music by Eras will be performing Chic Bum Buffet, bringing the mellow magic of 70s yacht rock and the tropical twang of laid-back beach country. The evening will include era-inspired decor, games, and a lively dance area, with attendees encouraged to dress the part and bring a lawn chair, dancing shoes and a vacation state of mind. In addition to this, date nighters, families, and groups of friends are invited to arrive early to explore North City’s walkable streets, colorful public spaces, eye-catching artwork, and a lineup of local eateries like A Lo Fresco, Buona Forchetta, Maya’s Cookies, Wynston’s Ice Cream, Milonga Empanadas, Draft Republic, and more. • Ahoy, matey! The nautical-clad “Titans of Soft Rock,” Yachtley Crew, will be dropping anchor in San Diego this July to launch ArtPower’s summer season. For the uninitiated, Yacht Rock is a revival of the smooth soft rock and Top 40 hits from the late ’70s to early ’80s—now a nationwide sensation. Fans don captain’s hats and nautical attire, singing along to the era’s breezy, feel-good tunes. Yachtley Crew first made waves in 2017, selling out countless Southern California venues before igniting a nationwide Yacht Rock craze. Their success caught the attention of the legendary Jimmy Buffett, who signed them to his Mailboat label before their recent deal with Earache/Universal Records. Yachtley Crew on Instagram / Youtube
