After a 40-year hiatus from art while she ran her boutique PR & Marketing firm, and the surprise blessing of the Pandemic, she has renewed her connection to art, creating through multiple mediums and subjects. Her home studio is chock full of colorful paints, and every art supply you could dream about. She actively explores her creativity through classes at Mira Costa College, plus several renowned workshops including Nicholas Wilton’s Art2Life Creative Visioning Program (CVP), Art2Life Spark, and Jenny Nelson. Laurie is a member of AGNC (Artist Group of North County) and the Oceanside Museum of Art Artist Alliance. Her work is focused mostly on small stories about humanity that touch the human soul. Join us at ArtReach Studio HQ for an egg dyeing workshop! Pysanky are traditional Ukrainian Easter eggs that are decorated with a wax resist technique. Many of pre-Christian design elements on pysanky can be traced back to early Slavic cultures, while others date back to the Paleolithic era. Throughout the workshop we will dive into the history of this beautiful art form of pysanky making and will look together at the symbols that were commonly used in order to create a message, a wish, for the upcoming year. Then we will create our own designs with our own messages in mind. We kindly ask that adults actively participate in this art activity alongside any child under the age of 11. Candis Paule, CSA, is the owner of Candis Casting. Since 2003, she has been the premier San Diego casting director and has cast over 300 commercials and 400 episodes of TV. Along with many telenovellas for Fox’s My Network, she has been the primary or local casting director on a wide variety of pilots and features and has worked on print jobs, voice-over projects, and industrials.
