Join I Love A Clean San Diego on Earth Day, Thursday April 21st, from 5-6 p.m. for our free Spring Cleaning workshop. Come discover ways that natural cleaning products can reduce waste and save money. We’ll show you effective recipes for household cleaners, identify specific low-waste swaps, and review how to recycle right. You’ll also learn about resources for donating and recycling textiles, toys, and those other hard to dispose of items. Leave with the tools and ideas you need to live more sustainably and reduce what you’re sending to the landfill! Attendees are invited to participate in our Make and Take activity. Create your own all-purpose cleaner from our bulk items to start your zero waste journey with one entirely waste free product! In addition, attendees can bring in gently used items you were planning to donate and participate in the Swap ‘n’ Shop! Participants can exchange or donate those items, giving them a second life and keeping them out of the landfill. Some example items that have been brought to past workshops include clothes, nail polish, stereos, pet supplies, books, CDs, picture frames, kitchenware, Halloween costumes, etc. Please register to reserve your space at the event. • Join us in a celebration for a cause, bringing light and resources to suicide awareness and mental health with an interactive music and art experience. This inaugural event is inspired and dedicated to singer/songwriter Kiela Gwin, who died of suicide at the age of 27 in 2019. During this unique and uplifting event, we will come together to hear Kiela's beautiful music, interactively paint a mural that honors all loved ones lost to suicide, and raise money for the incredible work of local nonprofit, Survivors of Suicide Loss (SOSL). There will also be a silent auction, DJ and hors d'oeuvres. All proceeds from this event will go directly to SOSL. In bringing this fundraiser to life, we are hoping to shine a light on the issues surrounding suicide and give people an avenue to come out of the shadows and celebrate the lives of those lost together, making this a topic of discussion for everyone to have –not just those directly affected. Date | Thursday, February 24 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Location | FruitCraft Fermentery & Distillery Get tickets here! General admission: $40 VIP admission: $100 Premium + Art admission: $75 Donations are highly appreciated.
