  • Join us for the opening reception of the 14th annual Art-a-thon on January 11th! This group exhibition will feature paintings, drawings, and mixed media works. There will be live music, artists in attendance and drinks available for purchase from Last Spot by Tortari (21+). The reception will mark the official start of the Art-a-thon auction. Proceeds benefit our free teen art program. A week prior, on January 4th, participating artists will donate 24 hours of their time to creating the artworks. The public is welcome to visit the gallery during regular hours to see the artists in action.   • Conan O'Brien will receive one of the most coveted awards in comedy on Sunday — but the annual event takes place at a tense time for the Kennedy Center.
  • San Diego Potters Guild is a juried membership of thirty-nine local clay artists. Twice a year on the second full weekends of June and November, potters fill the Spanish Village patio with thousands of handcrafted pots. Visitors may meet potters and watch demonstrations on the wheel. After the show pots from the Patio Show are available in Studio 29. Themed shows rotate throughout the year in the center gallery, surrounding shelves also display member work. The Potters' Guild is a working studio where the public can watch artists work on the wheel and hand build forms, decorate and glaze.
