  • KPBS is holding a preview screening event of THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION - Ken Burns' new documentary film. Our event will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 14 at 6:15 p.m. here at KPBS. Doors at 6 p.m. THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION is a new six-part, twelve-hour series. It tells the story of America’s founding struggle, the men and women of the Revolutionary generation, and the crisis that they lived through. Join KPBS for a special preview screening featuring excerpts from the film followed by a panel discussion led by KPBS’ Public Matters Investigative Reporter Amita Sharma with local educators and experts in America’s history. There will be opportunities for audience members to engage in the conversation, ask questions, and share insights. This event is free. Space is limited and reservations are required. THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION premieres nationwide on Sunday, November 16 and airs for six consecutive nights through Friday, November 21 at 8 -10 p.m. on KPBS TV.
