All Levels Wheel Throwing Class Schedule Saturdays, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Six-Week Session January 25, February 1, 8, 15, 22, March 1 Teaching Artist Max Anderson Description With a main focus on functional pottery, beginner students will learn how to use the equipment in the studio and how to use the wheel while more advanced students will further use the wheel as a tool to create work made partially or entirely from thrown forms. All students will be encouraged to experiment with surface and altering techniques to transform their work from pots to functional works of art. Students will leave the class with finished work they can use at home that’s dishwasher safe! All students receive one month of FREE MEMBERSHIP at the ICA ceramics studio following the conclusion of the course. Repair your Plush! Saturday, December 21, 12 p.m. - 2 p.m. Join us for a heartwarming 2-hour workshop where we will breathe new life into your beloved stuffed animals! Whether it’s a childhood companion or a cherished gift, learn hands-on techniques to mend, reinforce, re-stuff and restore plush toys. As we stitch and stuff, I will share stories of healing and celebration as we transform sentimental fabrics into custom keepsakes that honor spatial memories. This workshop teaches the art of repair — a place where every stitch tells a story, and where life’s moments, big and small, are celebrated with love. It is recommended that you wash your plush toy ahead of time planning for plenty of time for it to dry thoroughly. Use your best judgement on whether it should go in the washing machine or be gently hand washed.
