  • Mexico in a Bottle Returns to San Diego! Join us Sunday, October 5th at Bread & Salt Gallery as we celebrate the great spirits of Mexico. Enjoy sipping agave spirits and learning producer stories, processes and more. There are also selections of Mexican whiskey, rum, gin, liqueurs and more. Restaurants will be serving up delicious bites paired with cocktail sips as art and music surround you. The story of mezcal and these other elixirs is about more than alcohol. Each bottle contains a piece and flavor of Mexican culture, and is a living link to history, tradition, food, art, and music – life and death all in a bottle. • LOS/NR is proud to present the work of six impressive artists living and working in Los Angeles, curated by our guest curator, Jason Jenn. The exhibition gathers painting, assemblage, fiber-based art, and sculpture to explore the varied ways that time weaves itself into the human experience. Time can be sweet or savage in its treatment, and each piece offers a different perspective on life through its varied minutes and milestones, through gestures, textures, fragments, and forms. Through the exchange of materials, the artists chart emotional landscapes and trace the rhythms that shape our daily lives. What we choose to hold onto, what we take time to craft, and what we carry forward define the ways in which we come to comprehend "The Measure of Our Days." Participating artists are: Enrique Castrejon, Ellen Friedlander, Duane Paul, Joaquin Stacey-Calle, Kayla Tange, and Sean Yang. Enjoy free ice cream at the reception (while supplies last)! level of service not required on Instagram
