Free, nonpartisan, in-person candidate forum focused on climate change and environmental justice issues offers residents to hear directly from candidates seeking to represent District 4 on the County Board of Supervisors (replacing Nathan Fletcher). Spanish interpretation will be provided. Free parking and light refreshments. Three candidates have confirmed participation: - Janessa Goldbeck, Marine Corps veteran and CEO of Vet Voice Foundation - Monica Montgomery Steppe, San Diego City Council President Pro-Tem - Amy Reichert, small business owner and founder of ReOpen San Diego Doors open 5:00 p.m. - with refreshments, organization tabling, community mingle. Forum 6 - 7:30 p.m. Community mingle continues post-forum, 7:30 - 8:30 p.m. We’ll focus on key climate change and environmental justice issues, including mobility and transportation, air pollution, renewable energy, land use and sprawl, and the County’s commitment to achieving carbon zero and its Climate Action Plan (CAP) and Regional Decarbonization Framework (RDF).
