  • Start 2026 with Intention: Local Wellness Leader Jill Thiry Hosts New Year Workshop in Imperial Beach Step into the new year with clarity, calm, and purpose at "Set and LIVE Your New Year's Intention," a hands-on wellness workshop led by Imperial Beach resident Jill Thiry, founder of Club Change. This special event will be hosted at the Yoga With Shawna studio, also a local women-owned business, on Saturday, January 17, from 12-3 p.m. at 720 Highway 75, Imperial Beach. Jill brings years of experience guiding participants in yoga, chanting, meditation, movement, sound healing, and journaling. Her approach is gentle, interactive, and empowering, helping people turn insights into daily practices that bring clarity, presence, and joy. Whether through a single mantra or a consistent practice, Jill supports each participant in discovering their own path with kindness and ease. When she is not teaching in Imperial Beach: she leads classes at Rancho La Puerta in Tecate, Mexico for up to 20 weeks each year, and at her retreats in Montara, CA and Sturgeon Bay, WI, or via her weekly Zoom sessions-all details at jillthiry.com. During this workshop, attendees will: - Reflect and explore personal insights through journaling - Create visionary word boards that map out their intentions and practices - Meditate and envision the year ahead - Select personal practices that support meaningful change Her tools have worked for hundreds. One recent client just told her "I found my notes from two years ago and was amazed! Jill, your process really works!" Participants will leave with a simple, practical guide to living as their intended self in 2026. All you need is a journal or pen and paper-and the intention to show up fully for yourself. Dress comfortably for some possibly gentle movement as well. Bring any props if sitting on the floor doesn't work for you. "This is more than a workshop-it's a space to pause, nurture yourself, and plant seeds for a year of purpose and presence," says Jill Thiry. "Even if you already feel like you have it all, this is a chance to step in, reflect, and receive something truly meaningful, and practicable!"
